Very nice series from the Chalk Festival - this one is my fav here because of the composition, her expression and because of the light.
Nothing wrong with Ilford ∆400 - I should use it more often (souped mine in Tetenal Ultrafin at last).
Thank you for your comments. I also shot a roll of HP5 that had a couple keepers I might post. This is my 3rd try at the festival. The first year I shot color and, honestly, there are thousands of better examples than any of mine on line. Last year I did it in 35mm BW and concentrated on the artists like this, but a light leak ruined the whole thing. This year was the first opportunity to do some serious work with the like-new C220 I was given last winter and it was a pleasure to use. My intent was to basically ignore the art and catch the artists concentration and maybe a taste of the grueling effort it demands of them - 2 solid days crawling around on hot concrete in the Colorado sun. Even the chalk sticks would sometimes get too hot to handle.
