@Eric Rose, you have made a time shift. This was the 3rd generation Buick Riviera from 1971-1973. Women were scrawny back then but the cars were voluptuous. The engines were even more voluptuous: 455 cubic inches with primitive carburetors. The ladies you are thinking of are the handsome (sturdy? magnificent?) examples from 1950s movies.
