I wish to announce that this image has, until further notice, 'made my day' (despite that it is raining 'cats and dogs' outside here in Philadelphia).
Herbern, this gem of a town in NW Germany, is not only beautifully portrayed in this (tonally perfect) photo, but causes me to want to move there right now from the City of Brotherly Hate. The distant haze, which, happily, the UV filter did not fully conquer, lends a three-dimensional quality that almost forces one 'to need' to physically cross that stone bridge in order to enter Golconda.
I demand that macfred send me a Lufthansa ticket, pronto. - David Lyga
@David Lyga Thank you, David for the very kind words on my photograph. If you ever have the chance to visit Germany, I'll be proud to thake a walk with you.
@Colin Corneau Yes, this is Neopan 400 CN (out of production for some time = I have 40+ rolls in my freezer) developed in C-41 color process - it's a chromogenic film (just like Ilford's XP2 Super) designed to be developed in color process C-41.
It can be deloped in ordinary b/w chemicals too.
Again, the timing was superb with this. The ducks and man are placed appropriately and the contrast is correct. I honestly do not mind the lack of clouds. - David.
