I got into trouble at Brentwood Photographic Club some years ago by entering a photo of a poster behind our dried up metal fountain -- a member complained the Rules said 'No 'Clip Art or Copies of other People's Art to be used in Projected Image Competitons' -- my argument was that I included something of my own interpretation. Nowadays with 'Street Photography' everyone photographs people with 'Posters and Graffiti'

@pentaxpete Camera clubs are ok for what they are...but some very formal ones appear to be run by authority-reveling opinionators, not so appreciative of artists..who, as we all know, are doing their own thing rather than being obedient.
@grahamp Agreed. Note also that the narrow shadow in foreground is part of a diagonal visual movement. I might have cropped this image tightly (because I tend to do that), but I suspect the photographer was fully aware of the dynamic to which that line contributes.
