I like this entire series! Nice to see some lith and Holga images in the gallery. Just curious about the Forte - is it prone to pepper fogging from beginning to end? When I lith with Fujibro paper I only get about 4 or 5 clean images before they start looking very similar to this.
Thanks!! I don't know about the Forte. This is the first time I used it and I was jumping around between Foma, Forte, and some Kodak. Someone had sent me a box of old paper and I was kinda playing around. I don't think the first image I did had pepper fogging on the Forte and the next on it did, which was probably the 6th or 7th overall. I really like the color I get with it compared to the Foma, so maybe I'll do a few with the Forte first next time to see.
Update - I did lith again today and started with the Forte. The first 4 prints were fine - no pepper fog spots. The 5th print had a little bit. I moved to something else after that, but I'd guess that 4-6 prints from the start is the limit for the Forte. Thanks for the hint!
@winger Good to know that there’s more than one paper that exhibits this effect. Interesting that the chemical/paper threshold seems to be about the same. I have some older Forte paper that I have yet to lith with, I wonder if it will produce the same effect.
I have GOT to try this winger . . . I have several hundred sheets of old Luminous brand paper (8x10 and 5x7 different types), unopened, no I idea how it was stored and wasn't sure what to do with it. I may try Moersch Easy Lith on some of it . . . thanks for the inspiration.
