@hobbes that sounds like here. Most people I know are afraid of wild mushrooms with a few exceptions. I'll take a guess that you are talking about Popinki mushrooms? I know a few people who search them out every year but I haven't had the chance to try them yet.

@hobbes very nice. So far my favorite is the Hericiums. Now those are some good mushrooms! Which reminds me I need to get the film with those picture developed. If all goes well I'll be going for morels this spring with an acquaintance. :smile:

In fact I'm a lamer.. I can recognize up to 5 different edible ones.. my wife can do up to 20 my mother in law even more.. however I always let them try those I-have-no-idea-about first :D

My wife's rule is since I pick them I have to try them first. I can reliably identify 6 edibles and 3 or 4 nonedible ones.
