A very interesting image. It has several things going for it. It has a variety of different textural regions. It has a variety of forms. It has a variety of tones. It has local contrast and it is very well seen and nicely presented.

Thomas, this is an interesting shot. As Donald has stated, there is a richness of texture and light in the image. I was drawn to the lines and shapes. The horizontal lines in the house logs, gate runners and the bench are one set of lines, the diagonal lines of the gate and roof thatch play off of each other, as do the gate pickets and tree trunk. There is quite a bit happening in this print. tim

A timeless shot. Fascinating in its range of tones and textures. I guess it looks better as a print but it comes over slightly too contrasty on my monitor (the only aspect I would take issue with). Thanks for sharing. Mark
