Sorry, this doesn't work for me.
Is a Holga camera an excuse to bring technically poor pictures ? harvey, you have made better pictures than this one.

No, you both are right about excuses and toy cameras. Keep in mind his face. That's what I love about this photo. And this image would be there Holga or not.

the excuse to bring technically poor pictures is that they otherwise work. i think the light leaks make a kind of curtain that protects the viewer from the arresting look of the guy in the picture. great balance.

i was bound by the technical but now i'm free.

i saw the thumbnail and thought "i recognize that light leak!"..my Holga has virtually the same leak in the top right corner but the light doesn't burn a hole right through the film like it has here. I'm not a Holga expert by far (i wish!) but it seems this image has lost some of this toy camera's subtlety along the way. Your friend's expression is interesting, like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. kat~
