While this rendering is quite beautiful, especially the "curtain effect", I am drawn back to the melancholic feel and abstract quality of the previous negative version that seems to stick with me more.
I'm not smart about photograms & never had any interest. It doesn't take much abstraction for me to lose interest. Lag's was the best I've seen, but this one (and the negative) are rather strong. That you got inspired and did this one so fast is a bit amazing. 'Hat's off for a lovely 'gram, but very much for quickly turning inspiration into tangible art.
@bsdunek Thanks I never put much effort or thought into (as it shows, hardest part was getting the nylon lace to fall the right way ), but it gives me ideas and possibilities.
@Micalngelo
Hey Micheal I could do a negative of the positive, or is that a positive of the positive?......on some flashed or fogged paper which would make the lace dark and brooding......hmmmm.
@HiHoSilver
Mr Silver I never new anything about photogram till I saw Lag's, had to google it, now realise I have some 100 year old kodak paper still unopened made for the purpose of photogram, using a candle. You should give it a go its fun.
When I started film photography last year it was always about creating pictures by hand, never realised how versatile chemistry and physics was in, think its going to take me a long while to make my picture.
