Nice shot Pete, he's not S.S despite the deaths heads on his collar he's a Panzer lieutenant wearing the tank assault badge and wound badge on his chest.

I don't know what motivates these re-enactors, but to me WW11 is too recent and painful a period to do it about, and to me they always look far to old for the rolls they portray, they are clearly not of military age.
 
An excellent portrait to my eyes. 'Stood out as a thumbnail.
