Best shot from the first roll. After drooling over Super Ikontas for 5 years, this one showed up at Englewood Camera. The serial number says it left the factory in 1937. It must have been recently CLA'd, as the exposure and focus work perfectly.
Eric, that is an understatement. I love this camera. It is fiddly as can be, but it's a beautiful shooter. The Tessar lens is everything I hoped it would be. However, I am surprised to say that the 1952 6x6, zone focusing Novar, 523/16 is much easier to use. The printing on the lens and shutter are hard to see with my 60-year-old eyes.
'My impressions of the ZSI also. 'Just a hoot to take out and enjoy. I usually foul up at least one frame - forgetting to fiddle properly, but I like the results alot.
