N.O. Jazz Funeral II

Bromoil print. Brush inked with several colors of lithographic inks on Agfa MCC 118 paper.
I never get tired of studying your bromoils, Gene. Your use of multi-colored inks is masterful - and gives me something to aspire to!

Great image. Captures my memories of being down there. Where can I read more about this technique of multi-color with Bromoil.

Wilsonneal - inking with multi-color inks is just something an individual needs to learn through trial and error - and experimentation. It's not a 1-2-3 ... a-b-c, by-the-numbers technique. I have read most, if not all, the books on bromoil and they all deal with monochromatic inking. I have written a how-to book on the bromoil process, but I don't think I could even scratch the surface on writing about how to ink in multi-colors. It's art ... not science, and it would be extremely difficult to express in the written word. Good question. Poor answer! :>) Gene

Gene, wonderful image! Reminds me of an Andrew Wyeth painting.
