Kurfurstendam Colour

I found a large 'Toned' Print in an album of the Kurfurstendam , BERLIN taken in 1956-57 when I was in the British Army there. The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church was where the Christmas Market terrorist attack took place December 2016 -- I printed it myself in the Darkroom of the X-Ray dept .

I find this period fascinating - partly because my parents were thinking of having their first child in a couple of years! Some of those buildings saw the end of the Second World War, others look to be much younger. The vehicles and the street lighting presage the coming 60's style, while the clothes are still firmly 50's.

Wonderful, Peter. You've gotta be glad you got the shot when you did.
