boiling pacific water

OK so this was shot with my Hasselblad 503 cxi and the 150mm lens. I had a red filter on and a 10 stop ND filter. Exposure time was 68 seconds. Hoping that the rock anchors the shot and helps to clarify it since the Ocean water is so busy.
Interesting, handsome & informative for this humble student. It gives a lith-like feel with the rock holding out as the one fixed bit of clarity. With this, and the fine work by Ishutteratthethought, some ND work is definitely in my future.

Water? Clouds? Something else? Just hard to tell - love the way the water is pictured and the sharp, still rock to catch your attention. Very good!

I, too, thought I was seeing a swirl of clouds. The rock looks like a small plateau on a mountain top pushing through into the sky. I love the ambiguity of it!

Air or water swirling around - it's all fluids and looks fantastic. Yes the rock does the trick and holds your eye. Great job.

Stunning shot. It would also fit well in the Monthly Shooting Assignment theme: Listen to...

Very 'Pictorial'-- you should enter it into some Photo Exhibitions.
