J. I smiled when read your description. I first saw the image and had the same impression - more detail. Then - wait. Who cares the light/dark space and especially the sky are cool. You've likely seen Austin Grainger's work on the point. It seems quite a special place.

Oh Point Reyes.. haven't been there in years.. most favorite of all beaches.. walk for miles.. all beach.. then the light house, and around the corner all the seals.. yum.. thanks for the memory

I like it as is. Honestly, I would not have minded if there was absolutely no detail st all on land. It reminds me of Michael Kenna's style.

Nothing to not like here. Brings back 30+ year old memories of visiting there with my wife and infant daughter.
