Nice composition.

Its hard on my screen with tall shots as I have to scroll up and down.
Maybe burn out the the highlights to the left of the door and what looks like a round chair in the foreground and maybe a little burning of the bright back ground.......I dont know its pretty good. The child looks slightly curious/or been summoned to something away from the camera, but is unsure whether to enter.

I will adjust burn times accordingly.

I think the main problem is its hard to see his/her face. Bit of dodge and burn might help. Think the experts will be more help.

Bit concerned for the child, though, not only you make him go into a dark scary room, you also make him leap about around a bonfire!
