Wow! Really well-done Peter. Beautiful results.

I like how you've got that subtle lighting on the backdrop too, it really emphasizes the outline of the torso on the shaded side.

Thank you for all of the kind comments. This was taken over 20 years ago. If memory serves me rightly, I used an x-large Photoflex softbox camera left with a Photogenic monolight. I might have used a reflector for a bit of fill, but I'm not sure about that.

I have some 'Technical Pan' but never heard of using C41 developer for it -- what temp and time do you recommend ?

Hi Pentaxpete, this photo is from about 20 years ago, and I haven't developed TP in a decade. Using C41 (developer only!) was suggested in one of the magazines in the early 90s, perhaps Photo Techniques? I found that I needed to use EI 16 or so, and for many subjects it didn't completely tame the contrast of TP. I later changed to Bill Troop's TD-3 from the Photographer's Formulary. A photographer who's technical knowledge I really respect recommended Ethol TEC, but I never got around to trying it.
