Thank you. This was part of our ascent of the Strudelköpfl. I saw this scene (especially the fort above) and just had to take a picture. It instantly reminded me of Victorian oil paintings of castles in the Scottish mountains or in Bavaria. I wasn't sure whether the distant peaks in the mist and haze would come out but they did (probably helped by the yellow filter). I was conscious that there was perhaps a bit too much sky and not enough foreground but that is what I had with a camera with just an 80mm lens that cannot be changed. At the time, I was slightly irritated that there were people on the bench but in fact it looks better like that -they give scale.
Beautiful photograph - like the mountain range in the background and those big white clouds.

Just coming back from Austria where I photographed the autumn colours of the maple trees at 'Großer Ahornboden'.
Paid a visit to the Königssee (Berchtesgardener Land, Bavaria) too, where I shot the eastern wall of the Watzmann from the top of Mount Jenner.
