Last and least successful shot from this film. Strongly backlit subject. Attempted to compensate by increasing exposure by +1 and +2 stops to try to get some detail. You can't just walk around these to get a better angle! At 8,200 ft. Does anyone have any tips for subjects like this? Polariser?
I think your exposure manipulations probably got you all you are going to get out of a shot with this lighting set of problems and I further think you did a good job of it....
Thank you. WHLogan. I have just printed another shot from a different hike on a different day. This other print is also backlit but the shadows are obliquely away from the camera. The result is much better. On the other hand, I do quite like this shot with the head-on shadows and the brightness in the sky.
