Mall

'Nice mall & well shot. I gave large malls up for lent, after spending 45 min from pulling out of the parking spot before I reached the street to get out.

This is not one of my usual topics, as I rarely enjoy photographing urban environments. But I like this photo for the same strange reason I took it. Still haven't found out why ...

I set out to capture evocative people shots & found myself constantly distracted by architecture, landscapes & antiquity. Something stirred you to grab this. As usuall it was done stonking well, and is a handsome scene. Anything that stirs you deserves some consideration of some kind. 'Glad you got this one.

Large spaces that still keep some human scale are often attractive. I like the balance of internal and external light, the reflections on the floor, the single figure crossing the landing. There is also an acoustic element - I can imagine the sounds of the space. It is also clear that this is a space people visit, not reside.
