Much better than the shot in the critique gallery, she is a beautiful girl, although I'm Not keen on the white halter top of her dress round her neck that takes your eyes away from her face that in a portrait should be the main centre of interest .

I wasn't overly fond of the outfit myself, at least not for the indoors shots I did of her. The other outfit suited the surroundings so much better.

I like this portrait. The eyes drill right into you. More than the halter top, I find the blue line on the lower right distracting.

You're right, it is distracting. I'm not sure if a tighter crop to eliminate it would spoil the photo or not though. I'll play with it a bit and see.
