My brother Nathan (right) and I test out our homemade foundry setup and make a UNI ash tray from Aluminum. Camera was propped up on fence and auto-time used.
That is actually what it is. It was an ash tray that UNI used for a pattern to show people how the foundry works (I think) and I ended up with the aluminum casting of one, so I went ahead and copied it since it already had nice draft built in.
I will have to get somebody to take our picture as we pour it next time, and figure out a good angle to deal with the smoke (as we mostly are messing with foam right now).
