Dupont Circle, Evening

Another panoramic from the Belair. This time printed in pure platinum. I think the cool tone suits the image well. Certainly much better here than on my Sinister Idyll series.

TFC - you're right about the treatment fitting so well. 'Looks like it was wicked tough light to work with. The softer focus brings somewhat of an older/historic look to a completely modern scene. You use is really well.

@HiHoSilver Some of the softness you're seeing here is because of the size of the print (at 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches, it's tiny), the scan magnifies the paper texture. Were I to scan my recent 5x12 print, A: I'd have to do it in two passes and splice them together because my scanner's bed isn't that long, and B: the paper texture would be much less obvious and it would look MUCH sharper than these do. But some of it too is the plastic fantastic lens on the camera - it's just not high resolution (it also packs some wicked barrel distortion).

'Seems like the size/texture processes conspire to give an excellent rendering. 'Might not look as striking if it were razor sharp.
