Eric, those are wonderful. I first saw the comment w/out opening to see the link. That led to a wonderful trip through your gallery. 'Very handsome. Range & tones get me all agitated.

Wonderful, liquidy, highlights on the cast iron. The overall tone fits the subject well.

Vincent, I'm not printing, so this is lightroom. On the earliest of these - I mentioned it, and on a semi-recent still-light of orchids on a piano. It was suggested for last MSA, but that didn't seem quite right, so I didn't enter.

I don't often enjoy toned prints - and anyone would be correct that guessed I also don't know much about toning. In this case, the subject seemed to go well w/ the sepia - in a similar fashion to Nodda's shots of the 20s & 30s firetrucks look perfect w/ his excellent home-made emulsions.
