Peter, that's cool. The trees themselves are interesting enough for detail, but the only reference I've ever heard to a witch's circle is from Terry Pratchett (satire fantasy writer). I know nothing of them otherwise. The trees themselves make it for me.
Hi Peter, hi HiHo,
Nicely done and interesting, as usual
I think Peter's reference is about actual "witches circles" also called "fairy rings", constituted of mushrooms, growing and forming almost perfect circles, sometime very large !
I would be interested to know, if, in the case of baobabs, this is a circular patern by luck, or there is actual biological cause to this, like a long gone "father" baobab in the center ?
Thanks for your comments ! I remember fairy rings and witches circles when I was looking for mushrooms while living in Germany. This was different, as Baobabs don´t usually grow in this pattern. They usually grow as solitary trees, and the few groups I´ve seen have names ands legends surrounding them. If this circles is magic, it must be powerfull Jou-Jou ! This group is a good 20 meters tall and the circle is about 150 meters across.
