Andrew, I appreciate your thoughts on it. Alot! I've ambivilated alot about how the upper portion has some tension/confusion between flow and reflection - largely from the ledge the water spills over in the area a horizontal line would mark the division to the upper 1/3 section. I got to like some of the ambiguity, but didn't know if anyone else would.

Yes, there is an interesting contrast between the top 1/3 and bottom 2/3. Top is crispy, bottom is kind of has a melted, chocolatey feel... if that makes any sense. Overall, quite luscious.
What strikes me about your photo is that it is a scanned negative and I have found out to my cost that a print from the same negative yields a totally different photo. I would suggest that you have a go at printing the negative even on RC to see what the difference is between the foreground and background. I feel that it might be a difficult negative to get a nice print from. It's a shame because it is an excellent composition.
