Ah the Lion of Knidos. Very nicely done. How did you get so much depth of field at f4.5?

Sweet composition, Pete.

Svenedin : I do not know how i got large depth of field -- it was definitely f4.5 as I took an incident reading with Weston master III and Invercone -- although the Great hall seems very LIGHT, the actual light LEVEL must be cut down from the daylight coming in. I used 'incident 'method so it would give good reading and not be influenced by all the very light tones of the stonework, as would happen if I had used the 'reflected light' reading. Maybe the DISTANCE I focused on was a factor.

A very good use of incident light metering. Yes distance is a factor. For example, my elderly Zeiss cameras have a red dot. At a certain aperture and focus anything further away towards infinity can also be assumed to be in focus. Depth of field is larger when the focal point is further away and is usually very shallow when the focal point is close but it varies according to the focal length of the lens (less depth of field with telephoto lens compared with wide angle).

Way to go, Pete. This series might be the best you have ever posted.

Don't get my hopes up -- I haven't done competition prints and put them in front of a Camera Club JUDGE yet !!
