Same here as @fdonadio . Contrast, framing, subject, glow, water and reflection. South Jersey is a rather dreamy, quiet place in a world of its own, scrunched up by the surrounding urban blight stretching from Atlantic City to Wilmington, Philly to New York. "What exit did you take this from?!"
Terrific, Amellice. 'Certainly hard contrasts, but some soft subject & the transition from reflected light to deep shadow is sweet. The last (or first) light on the pilings give a nice accent to the lower key area.
@michaelorr This was on my way to Rutgers University Marine Field Station, when you're close to it down the road, there's this marsh field on your right hand, I took it there on sunset. This was on first visit to the south
That entire area from Barnegat to Little Egg Harbor and over to Brigantine is just wonderful even driving around with nothing to do. Me and wife tool around down there often - never photographing though, i wouldn't do that to her. Great capture of a true wildlife area and the laid back bay life of south jersey.
