"bikinis everywhere" and you are focusing on a padlock. That makes you a Photographer I like the depth compression and textures.

Sigh. Yup. Thank You grahamp. I apprecaite your comment about the depth & texture.- it helps. I would have liked to get more relief/texture on the metal, but is wasn't very pronounced. The old metal was too engaging to pass it by.

If I might offer a mild critique, I'd crop this a little more so the lock is centered, at least horizontally. There's enough symmetry in the composition that having the lock off-center becomes visually awkward.

I did crop & certainly agree its stronger w/ the symetry. 'Not posting so other's work can remain on the media page longer.
