Five images only per day, please. It's in the site upload instructions. Everyone deserves a chance to have their own photos also displayed and seen on the front page for a fair and reasonable length of time. Thanks...
I am sorry I did not realise. I had just developed 5 rolls of film and my enthusiasm got the better of me. I freely admit my mistake but I do think it would have been more cordial to have sent me a PM rather than publicly admonish me. I will not post again and will consider my ongoing membership of APUG.
Yes, you are of course correct. I should have sent a PM instead of posting a public message. Please accept my equally public apology for not doing that.
I had been repeatedly looking at another person's image while trying to decide exactly what I wanted to say about it. But when it suddenly got pushed down the page to where it was about to roll off, publicly commenting then became sort of moot. The truth is, very few viewers ever look beyond the front page. Or even beyond the top three images. And whereas with the old gallery software there were 36 images on the front page, that has now been reduced to only 25. So the problem has become even more acute.
I have also left a comment for one of your photos that just sort of jumped out at me when I first saw it. That comment also took a while to form after several looks. I think we need either a larger front page, or a lower maximum daily limit, so the pictures don't just fly by...
Thank you for replying and no hard feelings. I do understand it was equally impolite of me to post too many pictures and you are absolutely correct that the daily limit is for a good reason.
