Both dang good, Michael. LF perfection is nice, but if I took this, I'd be awful glad I did. Tones in shaded trees & rock are good, the sillouette of the tree on the right is like a cherry on top.

No wonder this park is a Mecca for photographers ! That is a beautifull rendition of a tough scene. I like the way the trees mirror the peaks in the back.

HiHo, i was so disappointed in how this turned out when i got the prints back. it is embarrassing to see these for the first time now, after dismissing and calling "failed" or "outtakes." Peter, thanks, once again you pointed out (the trees following shape of the rock) what i continue to fail to recognize, as in the photo of the Stella Doro Lily. It is uncanny how those things show up and I have no idea. Thanks. Yosemite, in the Sierra Nevada is known as the "Range of Light." From the moment one emerges the tunnel and sees the view of Yosemite Valley, the Merced River, El Capitan and Half Dome, it is an understatement. The light really is magical. I drove up over a weekend while on a multi-week business trip in Orange County, CA. I could only describe Yosemite with one word - Inspiring.
