More of the 9th, this Organ came to rest right side up near the front door of the church. Again these are neg scans, but Ive tried to reproduce them as the print is.
Yep, interesting shot of the aftermath. Sad to see it still as it was the day after the storm. It looks like people are waiting for the "government" to restore things. Is this true, or are more people involved in the clean-up than is shown on the news? tim
These people can't clean up if they wanted too, none of us can really. We are waiting on too many questionsto be answered, like will homes have to be raised to qualify for flood insurance. There is still no power, water and sewer system here (in the ninth) Most don't have a place to stay if they do come back to clean, and we are being told that our homes will be bulldozed.
Sorry for the rant, but only the "City of Orleans"(i.e. city gov. is scamming the government, not us individuals. We want to resume life not cash in.
Like the room with the fire place, this is an extremely well done image that tells a story that some how did not come accross in all the media hype. I have already clicked this image into "My Favorites" gallery. and am sure I will refer to it often!
Thank you for sharing with us, the images are wonderful and very moving!
I have seen this in other poor urban areas, they(local govt) do not want to improve things because they don't want to lose their federal aid that is funding everything.
