Fairly fresh roof & paint, makes me wonder if this one room schoolhouse might still be in use. Perhaps for other purposes.
Very well done. The composition works nicely as presented. The POV gives excellent insight into the overall dimensions of the old building. Exposure is right on IMO.
Gentlemen, thank you for your kindness. I doubt I can say how much the feedback helps me. I sure appreciate it. 'Doesn't matter if its positive or negative - I learn & that's my obsession now.
Hi Andrew,
I was out to find 2 churches w/in a 40 min drive. You mentioned an interest in them. One, I couldn't get a satisfactory angle on. This schoolhouse is on HWY 47 in Columbia County, about 20 min. North of a small logging town called Vernonia. It would be about 75 min. northwest of Portland. The sun was too low to return to the church I had in mind that I spoke of. That one's in Yankton, about 3-4 mi. NW of me. There's quite a few in the area. Alot of rural history, as there would be by you.
