Ebb and Flow

I normally just shoot B&W, but my late best friend, gave me some Portra 160 last year and I had shot the film, but had it sitting around on my shelf. I had it sitting there because it was like having him in my darkroom. He gave it to me right before he ended his life, and I didn't want to f*** it up in development. I have only my sink for development, not some expensive temp controlled tank. So he would have been laughing at me jumping around trying to keep the tank at 102F. I think it turned out ok. I hope he would like it. Hats off to you my old best friend. You are missed. Rest in Peace. I'll see you soon enough.

Is this print for sale?
  1. Yes
Honestly, I rarely see portra look this good. For so simple a composition, the execution makes it pack a whallop. Detail in the back side of the small wave is sweet.

It was the last of many on the roll. The sand flies were biting my legs. The camera and the tripod weigha ton. After the shot I was running away from the damn flies. I thought i was gonna have a heart attack. Lol I am glad i captured it. You never know really what you have until you pull it off the reel. It was home developed in the sink.
