I'm still overwhelmed at the beauty of the bldg w/ amazing hand craftsmanship. This was one of 4 color shots left in a film back that failed that day & is in for repair. I've been writing notes about what to shoot, how to time each area for the side light comeing thru stained glass. Its humbling/embarassing, but I get terribly excited about shooting old craftsmanship like this. It will be mostly BW when I do, but I'll have some color also. The wood tones demand it. One elder man mentioned something like 14 or 16 species of carved wood in the bldg.

Fred, thanks for letting me know. 'Really can't say that enough. I get so excited w/ this kind of subject it literally makes me stupid. 'Forget simple thing, dumb mistakes - usually just 'cause I'm so preoccupied & trying too hard. Maybe if I get to do several of these old buildings I'll settle down enough to have more useful perspective. It would be the same for me if I were to shoot old mechanical environments - machine shops, shipyards. Ken N.'s shots of the air museum in Washington state strike me this way. So when the excitement makes me stupid, its particularly helpful to hear from others. I appreciate your help.

Wow, you should shoot in there for days. Nice job.

I sure hope to, pbro. I appreciate the encouragement.
