Full sun at noon? I hope the scan blew out the highlights.

Yes, it was full sun at noon! In the actual print, the top left is actually burnt in more, so the eye is brought straight up the centre. This is a scan of the print, and, truth be told, I didn't mess around with the scan; I spend all day behind a computer at work, the last thing I want to do is manipulate photographs in my free time!!!
