The picture was made in Thailand where Burmese refugee families live and work in the garbage dump. I have photographed these families since 2013. You can track that process on my photo blog if your interested. Lots and lots of writing there.

Gerry! I'm so glad to see you posting again. I remember your past series from Thailand of sex workers - I was impressed with that and am glad to see you continuing making strong work.I'm going to be in Thailand briefly in a few months - it'd be great to meet up if possible. I respect your work a lot.
 
Thanks so much Colin. Yes sure if we are in Thai at the same time. I am currently in Canada but going back in 2016.
