I've gotten into street portraits this year -- that is, approaching strangers for their photograph. I'm still awkward and clumsy about it, but this one (I think) worked out. This was taken at the Three Rivers Arts Festival in Pittsburgh this past spring. I went up to him as his little girl had just gotten her cotton candy. Here's one of those situations where I wish I had gotten their contact information. In this case, I gave him mine, but after I told him I wasn't with the newspaper, he seemed to lose interest. And I haven't heard from him. Well, if I ever do, I have a print waiting for him!
