I did so enjoy taking pictures of the family during all sorts of situations. I knew no one else in the family was doing so and I felt the need to do it. Each time I went to visit I took two cameras, a couple 2-3 lens and several rolls of film. I knew things could change from the next time I got to visit so, I took enough photos for keepsake and if anyone else wanted copies later on down the road. I tried to capture the different moods of each of them and the situations whether it was just sitting on the front porch, out back or inside. I don't regret any of the time spent doing that and always never took for granite the time spent with them. I hope no one gets weary seeing the photos of my family.
Many thanks. I knew I had just taken one of the last photos of them together I'd ever take. I was right. Right before I left to come home Hospice began coming out and I knew that would be the end. He lasted two weeks after I left. It was hard leaving them as I knew it was my last visit to see them together and the last time I'd see my Dad. It was even difficult scanning this although that photo was taken in Octoter 1993. It never gets better.
