When I saw the title I was expecting a very different bridge, the one across the creek at Antietam battlefield outside Sharpsburg, Maryland. Old Daniel Burnside managed to get around, it appears!

Good shot. I see you used an orange filter and that's a great choice to bring out those puffy clouds and always a good choice for stone and architecture plus, you usually loose only one stop.

Gents, I appreciate hearing from each of you. K.hendrik - I feel sort of that way also, and haven't posted until now. 'Trail's thoughts helped me trim some fat. RMann's superb 'Bodie House' inspired me to look at some dodge & burn. I also have some local inspiration from the guys at Bluemooncamera. They can find ways to shoot the St. John's bridge that'd just make ya cry. [alert: I have a wicked bias - I think they're wonderful] I'm trying to do quality practice ALOT. 'Shot my first roll of Acros today, finished the 2nd half of some Portra 400 120, and about 18 frames of HP5 thru the little Nikon. 2/3 of the shooting was done today huddling under an umbrella. I need to get better at shooting in the rain here, or I won't be doing much shooting. When working so hard at it, your thoughts, comments, criticisms are of great value to me. I sure appreciate it.

This is very pleasing to look at. It seems like an odd thing to say, but the sun and the clouds and the water ripples and the arch all make me feel like this is a place at which I'd like to spend an afternoon reading a novel.
