Thanks ! Every once in a while, I can make a botanical illustration the does a tad more than just illustrate a specimen. This is an interpretation of a Victorian botanical print, where you typically had a half-tone print of the adult plant in the background, and very detailed drawings of flowers and leaves in front.I tried to emulate that concept with an out-of-focus adult plant in the background, and the crisp detail of the young leaf in the foreground.The negative space between the leaves ... zzzzzzzz ... shoot me !
