The dominant tree captures the eyes and guides them along the trunk towards the branches, observing the bark textures. Nice!

there's something so beautifully timeless about this image, and i love how the branches fill out the top half or third of the image; a wonderfu juxtaposition/complement to the "empty" space of the river. it's so easy to overlook a scene like this.
