Just tried to reproduce what I saw. There was something in the scene that caught my attention.

Okmulgee, Oklahoma ~ near entrance to Okmulgee Park

1/4 sec @ f/32
Film & Developer
Tri-X in D76 (1+1) / N development
Paper & Developer
Oriental FB/VC in PD-130 (1+1)
Lens Filter
Orange Filter (factor = 4x)
Catches my eye, too. I like the contrast between the smooth water flowing over the steps to the turbulence below
 
possibly cropping the top and bottom and have more of a pan, would give you a more dramatic shot. love it though
 
I like it too, the tones, the way the water plays with the clouds. I think I would crop a bit in the bottom too, but maybe leave the top alone.
