Just a comment on a lot of your pictures. They are sort of documentary in nature but I think you're capable of more. They seem like you walk around and see something you might like to shoot then take a picture, but there is not much of YOU in them. They don't say a lot, just that you were there. Not all, but some. When I look at pictures here, and anywhere for that matter, I stare and say, talk to me, what are you trying to say. With yours I get an, I was there feeling, but not much more. The sort of "holiday snaps" sort of thing with a better camera. When you take these pictures I think when looking through the viewfinder and before tripping the shutter, say to yourself, what am I trying to say with this. What is my message. Then you may take yourself to a whole other level.

Blanksy -- many thanks for taking the time to write comments like that -- YES you are right -- I have 'lost' the Personal touch over many years -- I cannot get a 'style' at all BUT I see many photos on Photographic sites that are also 'Ordinary' records -- so I try to write more 'Stories' how I took the shot and technical details to make it a bit more interesting as many site members don't give any details. When I used to organise more trips for Club members to encourage the 'Beginners' I would notice several would not even take out their cameras unless they saw a 'Club Type ' subject -- I told them USE your gear and practice -- not every situation has 'Pictorial Lighting' usually it is flat overcast for example !

love the shot but the dust drives me crazy. why can't people take the time to spot before posting. A really nice shot except for that.

I did some in the sky but I MISSED the piece on the building -- I always spot my 16x12" Exhibition prints as they are easier to see with these 'old Eyes' than Computer Images !
