You've captured the look and feel perfectly. Reminds me of the tunnels connecting all the buildings in a certain old part of Dearborn. I can almost feel the heat and hear the growning of the pipes.
 
Isn't this the tunnel that was recently brought into the news limelight and crossed from Mexico into California for drug smuggling ? Man, those guys do good work!!!
