Bruce, F11 and be there Seriously, I find F11 to be a good aperture on that particular lens for a reasonable amount of dof with tilts. I find that the Apo-Lanthar gives it's best at wider apertures, and I often use it wide open as I like the look. If I want critical sharpness at small apertures I use a 150mm Sironar.
