Bingo! Escher. He had a big influence on me in drawing/painting. I only saw it this way when I saw the print laying upside down on my darkroom counter!Brian, it's neat how sometimes photographs can look like drawings. I am attracted to that look, as a drawer myself. Thank youi!

Funny how the curve is more apparent this way if you think of it as stair treads. Once i looked at it up the other way I had trouble going back to the original interpretation.

I like this a lot, Andrew. Because of the footprints, you know it's dust, but in this orientation it takes on the natural tone of shadow on the underside of an overhang. It make sense that way, so the brain ignores the footprints.

This is more confounding to me than Escher, maybe because of its simplicity. I have a lot of trouble switching perspectives! At first glance, I thought hm, there is a trick here but I do not know what. Beautiful.
