A series of full plate glass negatives from a photographer in Norfolk by the name of H.T. Cave (most likely). Would be interested in identifying the make and model of the vehicle.
Location
Norfolk, UK (probably)
Film & Developer
Judging by the stain, a Pyro formula.

Any idea how old the plates are?

From the markings on the side of the van, the plate dates from the reign of King Edward VII (1901-1910). At a guess, I would say this photograph was taken sometime around 1908, plus or minus two years.

Looks like it hit an animal.

I would guess it hit a horse: there were still plenty of them on the streets, then. 'Wonder if this was an insurance photo?...

Don't think so - The image linked to has chain drive to the rear axle. It is more likely a Daimler chassis or a Star of Wolverhampton - Will know more if/when I can track down the registration number (AH 502). lhoff601: We suspect it was photographed as part of an insurance claim (another avenue to explore) - Several other negatives in the collection are of carriages with broken spokes.

It's a Royal Mail vehicle, maybe post office history could help?
