Yes, I think the stumps (a trinity, no less) and the church ruin do work together well. And the IR rendering of the sky looks like it is on the button, surreal by comparison to the usual "softness" of light one associates with Ireland. Was your filter a 29 red, or a true infrared filter, such as 82? Whatever you used, it worked well. Like it!
 
The trees show a strong presence all though cut down with the vacant church in background.

For JC :Thanks for your comment on the "trinity" aspect of the tree stumps, I didn't spot that myself as I only saw the relationship between the them being cut down and the church being abandoned. my RED filter is the 25A version which I've always use with IR.
