Church in the country

Church in the country

I have shot this church before, and always have trouble showing it true beauty. I came around the corner the other day and saw this image, across a field of milo. This is a flatbed scan of the negative, I am printing it wet to see if I can improve on it. I hope you enjoy it.

Actually, I see two lovely images here! The cluster of buildings on the left with the clump of trees is one and the beautiful church on the right, surrounded by trees is the other. Each can stand on its own as a strong photograph! The milo in the foreground gives it depth. Nice work!

Methinks what you are calling buildings on the left are really tombstones.... nes pas? Logan

They are tombstones, which is why I took this photo this way. In a post from a year or so ago I shot just the cemetery, which sort of resembles Stonehenge. Thanks for comments.

There's a lot of America here.

Thank you. I love this church, it is much like the I remembered attending as a boy. I printed a different negative taken from a bit closer in the darkroom today, it looks better, but not enough to repost. I am glad you enjoyed the photo.
